Long escalators and tunnel systems form junctions of hectic movement in Moscow’s metro stations, accompanied by the overwhelming noise of arriving and departing trains. Amidst this bustle and architectural complexity, the experimental film A Fleeting Idea of Coexistence revisits footage recorded in 2019, setting out in search of moments of human encounter.

As the film unfolds, the documentary images and sounds gradually dissolve into fragments. Through extreme slow motion and deliberate distortion, the digital material is probed and dissected. Everyday scenes are abstracted into streaks of color and pulsating light, traces of movement that hover between presence and disappearance.
